Meet Mr. Byrne
Jason Byrne, originally from Pace, Florida, and his family have spent the last four years in Beaufort, South Carolina where he had the privilege of serving his country in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. Mr. Byrne was called by God to pursue the opening of a Christ-centered martial arts facility and Victory Martial Arts began to take shape. While there have been lots of changes in the last year, God has found a way, through CBC, for Mr. Byrne to actively minister to the community through martial arts.
Mr. Byrne began his training at the age of five and earned his first degree black belt by age eight. He has been extensively training in martial arts for over 24 years. He now holds a fourth degree black belt in Moo Do Kwon Taekwondo and a first degree black belt in ChristJitsu. Over fifteen of those years have been dedicated to passing on his love for martial arts to students from ages 3-76. He continually seeks to further his training in martial arts, in order to stay ahead of even his most advanced students. Mr. Byrne is grateful for the opportunity to invest his love for the Lord and martial arts into his students, and is eager to make a lasting difference in each and every student’s life. He works diligently with each student, encouraging them to achieve personal, physical, and spiritual goals. Mr. Byrne’s mission is simply this: to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all who will listen, through martial arts and the ChristJitsu Program. He is eager to see change come to this area and also to see how the love of God will impact the lives of those who live in our community.
Mr. Byrne is very excited about this new chapter in his life, and acknowledges his family’s vital role in this ministry. His wife Theresa is the voice of Victory Martial Arts, and attentively works alongside him to keep Victory growing in the right direction. Mr. and Mrs. Byrne have 3 children: Greyson, Sarah-Grace, and KatieAnne.
