Welcome to Worship in Music
The Scriptures instruct us to worship and glorify our Lord through music and God's people have done so throughout history. At Community Bible Church there are ample opportunities for folks of all ages to worship God through music. All choir and orchestra members regularly lead in worship and periodically give special presentations honoring the King of kings while providing a time of inspiration for the congregation and an evangelistic outreach to the non-churched.
Further information and volunteer opportunities are found below.

Our Children's Choir staff is excited to teach the children the truth of God's Word through music and prepare the children to help lead in worship. It is important that they learn music appreciation and music theory now so they may carry it with them into adulthood. We meet every Wednesday during the evening service at 6:30 PM. We sing regularly in the Sunday and Wednesday services and for special events.
Crossroads Choir for students 7th - 12th grade meets in the Choir Room in the main building, Wednesdays, 8:00 - 9:00pm.
This choir gives students a chance to use their voices and drama skills to worship God and lead others in worship in the services and special events.
Adult Choir meets Thursdays at 7:00pm in the Choir Room in the main building.
We are always looking for new members as we reach for the goal of 100. There are no auditions, but you must be willing to learn and work as a team. Just come on Thursday nights at 7:00 PM. If you need help in knowing which part to sing, we will help you. Childcare is available upon request.
Come and be encouraged as we strive to exalt our Lord and lead His people in worship. Rehearsals usually end around 9:00 PM and include prayer time. If you are interested, please come and see what rehearsals are like. You will not be expected to join us permanently the first time you come.
We usually spend the first part of rehearsal preparing our anthem and congregational songs for Sunday. Then we move onto the anthems for the coming weeks. We work on quite a few so that if you must miss a week, you will still learn the music and can sing with us on Sunday. Music is extremely powerful in encouraging and reaching out to people. We are blessed by God to have this opportunity to serve Him.
The CBC Orchestra meets every Thursday at 5:50 PM in the sanctuary to prepare for Sundays. We accompany the congregational singing and the Adult Choir in the services and special events. We do some preludes and other special pieces from time to time. The Orchestra also accompanies singing on Wednesday nights and meets at 5:30 PM to prepare. Please join us no matther what instrument you play and we'll find a spot for you. We need more than just one of each brass, string, and woodwind instrument. We are looking to increase our numbers by at least 10. Young students may be eligible to join upon interview with the Director of Music and Worship.
Solos & Ensembles
We regularly schedule solos, duets, trios, & other ensembles to enhance our worship services. If you desire to participate, please contact the Director of Music & Worship to set up an appointment.
Guest Musicians & Concerts
From time to time, we present concerts featuring our own musicians and guest musicians such as music groups from various places including Christian colleges and ministries. These are excellent opportunities to invite friends and neighbors to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ presented in creative ways.
In the past we have hosted The African Children's Choir, Jews For Jesus, The Dixie Melody Boys, Huntley Brown, Bobby Michaels, Various Collegiate Groups, and This Hope.
